Young and curious Carl Fisher has just wiped out on the sidewalk in front of the local bicycle shop. Displayed in the window in front of his eyes is the world's greatest bicycle, but for a bargain of a price. If Carl had that bike, he never would have fallen and scraped his face! Carl then notices the neighborhood bully admiring the same gem. The bully sneers at him and runs off. Apparently Carl has some competition. He better work fast if he wants to raise enough money for the bicycle. Carl picks up his junky bike and heads home, when he makes eye contact with the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. She flashes a charming smile until she notices the bike he's carrying. She grimaces and walks around him. The next day, Carl begins his money quest by setting up a lemonade stand at the local park. However, the bully has chosen to do the same thing with a far more festive stand. The bully hogs all the customers, including the beautiful girl Carl saw in front of the bicycle shop. The next day, Carl is walking home from school when he spots the bully dancing in front of a small crowd. When the song ends, everyone cheers and drops money in his cap. At that point, Carl's attention shifts to the other side of the sidewalk. People are dropping money into a grungy old hobo's cup. Carl glances back and forth, wondering if he should start dancing for money or if he should dress up like a hobo. Then it hits him. If he dresses up like a hobo and dances, he would earn double the money! Carl does this, only to be chased away by the grungy old hobo before any money can be earned. Carl comes to a stop and regains his breath. When he looks up, he sees a prostitute handing money to a pimp on the other side of the street. Carl realizes that the key to earning money lies within dressing like a prostitute, not a hobo. So Carl puts on the wardrobe and stands next to the prostitute. The prostitute sends him a frown, but Carl ignores it, as the bicycle and the girl's heart are the only things occupying his mind. Suddenly, the girl from the bicycle shop appears to be heading their way. Carl hides his face in embarrassment as he realizes that wearing feminine clothes is a bad idea. Hopeless, Carl decides to call it a day. On the way home, he hears heavy sneezing on the other side of the street. When he looks over, he sees the bully returning a dog to its owner. The bully's eyes are heavily swollen as he continues to sneeze. Carl realizes the bully is allergic to dogs. Bingo! Carl can take his neighbors' dogs for walks in order to earn money! Carl walks dog after dog and soon has enough money to buy the bicycle. Once Carl returns to the bicycle shop equipped with cash, his dream is shattered when he discovers the bully has already purchased the bike. To make matters worse, the beautiful girl is at his side admiring the bicycle. Saddened with defeat and heartbreak, Carl leaves the site, only to discover a tandem bicycle on sale for the same price. Carl purchases it and rides over to the bully and the girl. The girl is so impressed that she leaves the bully to go for a ride with Carl.

Nikki is a prostitute. Used to meet unusual men in unusual situations, nothing's ever surprising for her. That is, until she meets Devon. A high ranking executive, Devon looks and sounds like a wealthy, secure man who has everything he needs. Recently divorced, he lives with David, his younger brother. While Nikki finds that Devon is not what he seems to be, we learn the story of Susan, Devon's ex wife, who's secretly locked down in his cellar. When she gets to spend the night in Devon's home, Nikki is asked by him to answer to the name of Susan, and to get dressed with her clothes. But when she wakes up the next morning, she finds herself trapped in Devon's house, forced to become Susan. Either she does, or she might never see the light of day again. A sinister game has started, in which the main players are Devon, Nikki and David. And each one of them has their own agenda. While Devon becomes more and more obsessed with making Nikki become Susan, David starts falling in love with her... as he might have been in love with Susan.Meanwhile, trapped in a locker in the cellar, Susan starts trying to convince David to let her go. Devon's methods are as unorthodox and as twisted as his mind is: forcing Nikki to watch videos of Susan for days on without sleeping or eating anything else than water is just an example. But it is during one twisted dinner that she finally breaks down. Now, the new 'Susan' is finally unleashed, but what is the price of Devon's successful experiment? What if not everything's what it seems to be, and Susan's and Nikki's stories are not two but the same? It will all lead to one murderous conclusion in the twisted, unexpected finale of Breaking Nikki.
